Kansas City Dreamkeepers: Visions and Voices for the Future
Annual Student Arts Contest and Education Symposium

Kansas City Dreamkeepers is an annual celebration of student voice
and expression around the issues of social justice and equity for all. Each year, Kansas City Dreamkeepers holds a contest to allow students in the bi-state Metropolitan Kansas City area to share their unique voices with the world, with cash prizes awarded. For the past three years, we have offered students the opportunity to submit their ideas through a variety of artistic expressions including literary, visual, performing, and cinematic arts! Click on Contest Guidelines for more details!

In addition to the student contest, we hold the annual Kansas City Dreamkeepers Educator and Student Symposium for students and their teachers to explore more deeply strategies for using artistic expression for academic success and to create a more socially just world. This free symposium takes place on the campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Details about registration, guest speakers, and participant activities through the links in the menu.
