General Contest Guidelines:
Overarching Theme
(All entrants in all categories must respond to the following):

Think about the theme of social justice, equity and fairness and create your own artistic piece of these ideas using any of the following methods:
  • Literary Arts (Essay or Poetry)
  • Visual Arts (Painting, Drawing, or Photography)
  • Performing Arts (Vocal, Instrumental, Dance)
  • Cinematic Arts (Videography, Other)
Your creative project should demonstrate your understanding of what social justice, equity and fairness means to you. Use your imagination. Be original and as creative and innovative as you like. All entries must be your own unique, original work - i.e., not published, produced, copied, or taken from any other source. The ideas, expressions, and creative project must be your own. Express your passions, your dreams, and your desires for a more just world. Have fun!
Awards (Gift Card Prizes):
All 1st Prize Winners will receive $100
All 2nd Prize Winners will receive $75
All 3rd Prize Winners will receive $50


In addition, winners will be invited to a celebration awards showcase and have their work on display. All visual arts entries should be display ready. Dreamkeepers staff will pick up the visual entries from schools. Select students will be invited to perform their entries at the showcase.
